Tennessee Countryside Engagement Session | Liz & Errol

There’s something so timeless about a countryside engagement session. Rolling hills, golden light, and the sweetest couple to bring it all to life – Liz and Errol’s session at Beau Cheval Wartrace in Middle Tennessee was nothing short of magical. I’m so excited to share their story and the details that made their session absolutely perfect!

How We Met: A Styled Shoot Connection

Liz and I first crossed paths at a styled shoot I attended where her salon, GoGorgeous931, was doing the hair and makeup for the models. I remember how flawless their work was, and it turns out Liz remembered my photos just as fondly! After she and Errol got engaged, Liz reached out because she loved a different styled shoot I photographed at Beau Cheval, which also happens to be the venue where they’ll say “I do.” It felt like such a perfect, full-circle moment!

Two Outfits, Two Vibes: Casual & Formal Perfection

One of my favorite tips for engagement sessions is bringing both a formal and casual outfit. Liz and Errol totally nailed this!

  • Formal: Their first look had Vogue written all over it. Picture elegant silhouettes and a timeless, editorial vibe – the kind of photos you want on your save-the-dates or framed on your wall.

  • Casual: For the second look, they leaned into a Western-inspired vibe that felt fun, relaxed, and so them. Casual outfits leave room for playful, natural poses that capture the personality of a couple in love.

Having two outfits gave us so much variety, and it allowed me to capture every part of who they are together. Plus, who doesn’t love options?

Why the Right Location Makes All the Difference

When it comes to engagement sessions, the right location is everything. It’s not just about the scenery – it’s about the story.

For Liz and Errol, Beau Cheval Wartrace was the perfect choice. Since this is where they’ll be tying the knot, it made their engagement session feel even more special. Not only did we get to explore their wedding venue together, but now they have memories there that go beyond just one day. Years from now, they’ll look back at these photos and remember the excitement of this season and the anticipation of their big day.

Planning Your Own Countryside Engagement Session?

If you’re considering a countryside engagement session, here’s my advice:

  1. Bring two outfits: Formal for timeless elegance, casual for fun and playful moments.

  2. Choose a location that tells your story: Whether it’s sentimental, stunning, or a mix of both, the right spot makes all the difference.

  3. Trust your photographer: Your love is unique, and capturing it authentically is what I’m here for.

Liz and Errol’s session was such a joy, and I can’t wait to capture their wedding day at Beau Cheval. If you’re planning your engagement session and want photos that feel like you, let’s make some magic together.
