Here is a Spring wedding I will NEVER forget! This sweet couple had everything in mind when planning their day and I am so happy I could be involved. I adored they way they loved each other all day long from their first touch & private vows, to the first time M saw his beautiful bride, all the way to when we got to sneak away during golden hour and get some more couple portraits. These two truly were just so happy to be staring their future and it was evidently clear!

One amazing thing that S + M did on their day that as their photographer I loved was that they were inseparable! I know this is going to sound strange, but a lot of times at weddings there are so many guest to talk to and the two of you can be pulled a million different ways during the reception. S + M were truly side by side the whole night and this resulted in so many more photos for the two of them!

Early Spring couples session in north georgia

The true joy I had while hanging out with C + C on this beautiful afternoon was unreal! We got to run around this huge 200+ acre woods and capture their love so sweetly! These two have been together for a while now and Christian reached out because they didn’t have and professional photos together. We quickly had to make that change!

Couples sessions with me are meant to be an experience. I want you both to leave and say you had fun! I want to laugh with you, tell you you look adorable, and capture each raw moment you have! Imagine you get a built in date when you book photos with me, you get dressed up, go have fun at our photoshoot and then maybe you convince your partner to take you out to dinner after;) Sounds like the perfect day to me!

Guys, I went through it ALL with K + C. I got to capture their proposal, engagement session, wedding AND honeymoon! HOW SPECIAL! Makes me tear up just thinking about it. Let me tell you why K + C decided to get photos done on their honeymoon & why I think you should too!

When they first got engaged they were sure they wanted to elope somewhere epic, they wanted to have an awesome background. When they started planning they also realized they valued having their families there, and that just wasn’t attainable for all of them to travel!

So what did we do? They choose a family house local to their town and had the sweetest ceremony, dinner, and reception. Then the next day we drove down to Pensecola, FL to do their honeymoon session.

Honeymoon sessions are starting to get a bit more popular but let me just explain to you why they are truly so beautiful. You are seriously in “the honeymoon phase” at this point! SO utterly in love and so obsessed with one another. GET THAT PHOTOGRAPHED! You can see it on my brides faces as they were just having the time of their lives together.

Not to mention we had the best weather, and most tropical honeymoon spots are going to have that beautiful sunset location you are looking for! Capture the memories, it is SO worth it!

The Blazer’s

I cannot preach this idea ENOUGH! Elope in your dream spot with just you two, or even your closest family & then come home and celebrate with everyone! M + Z truly had the best plan!

Earlier in 2022 M + Z went to a beautiful Hawaiian resort and got married with just their immediate family. They got to honeymoon their and take in their marriage peacefully with just them. A few months after they got home they got to have the reception of their dreams right in their backyard. And let me tell you, it was perfect! M got to wear her dress again, (every girls dream) and they danced the night away with their closest family and friends with out the pressure of a ceremony, cocktail hour, or anything else!

This allowed their friends to make toasts, have dances, and actually have time to speak to the bride and groom individually! It was truly so special seeing their family celebrate them. This Atlanta reception was exactly what I have heard so many of my brides dream of.

This reception was so laid back I was able to capture so many moments. Their was even a sweet dog that made it onto the dance floor! M’s face shows in all with how much fun she truly had and I think she shows it for all her guests as well.

So, if you are thinking about eloping in Hawaii but you don’t want to miss out on celebrating with your family, do not forget you can always do both! And its highly recommended!!!

Labor Day wedding weekend in monroe georgia

The Still’s

There is something so special about getting to capture high school friends’ weddings! I have actually known S since middle school— cue all the sappy things! This wedding was something we were just dreaming of as S + H were one of my first couples I ever photographed in 2020! Fast forward to their 2022 wedding and here we are.

This Labor Day Weekend wedding was filled with all the party vibes while still finding each emotion to celebrate these high school sweetheart’s love. We started the day capturing S’s blue and funky details, along with her dress and veil! After we moved right into getting her ready with her Nana and MIL! Such a sweet sweet moment. From there, we did a first look with her pop, the bridesmaids photos, and groomsmen photos and then right before the ceremony S + H snuck away to do private vows, but still chose to see each other for the first time down the aisle.

As the day went on we had so much fun capturing the ceremony, bridal party, and couples portraits. The reception was so so fun and the venue even provided the fun glow sticks! We ended the night with a sparkler exit and a sweet ride away in a red convertible!

GRAD SEASON IS HERE BABY!!!!

I am so excited to capture all these tassels turnin’!!! As a recent graduate of 2022, I know how important this is to you! I truly cannot express how much you deserve to celebrate! The last couple years were hard, I know that! You had sleepless study nights, test that drove you crazy, probably a few professors who deserve a few choice words, and so much more! But YOU MADE IT! Thats exactly what your graduation session should celebrate! Lets hang out on campus, reminisce on you last years, and grab some smiles in your school colors!

Haylie + Matt got married while in college and they were both graduation in 2022, so what better way then to do this together! I loved hanging out with them as we wondered through the campus of University of Georgia! UGA has so many beautiful spots to capture at especially in North Campus. I always make sure to use the famous Arch, the bell, and the fountain!

I just knew C + H were going to have the prettiest little details from the moment we started talking about their sweet day. I actually had C + H model for a hiking, elopement styled shoot last year and if anything, it just made us more excited for October!

C did her entire wedding planning herself and she did not miss a single detail! Her theme was storybooks and how each and every person created their love story, seriously HOW SWEET! She incorporated books at her wedding favors, alter, and even H’s cufflings were book lockets with their engagement photos in them.

North Georgia eclectic + industrial wedding

The Rhode’s

This November day was EVERYTHING! M + J had each detail planned to a T— everything beautifully encased all their favorite details. M made it a priority to wear family heirlooms, match her sweet babies dresses, and creatively incorporate each of her family and friends, even the ones who could not be there!

I was so excited for this day just based off how perfect their engagement session was (coming to the blog soon). M’s request for her day was that I capture their “artistic, filmy, & eclectic vibe.” This was so easy considering she brought every detail we needed!

The weather was very gloomy this day but truthfully each time we needed to go outside, it was like the rain stopped for us! How amazing! Anyways, I will stop rambling & let you check out this beautiful day.

The Batch Family

I almost want to let this session speak for itself with the photos.. But I just have to tell you a little more about it! Picture all your California dreams coming together for one shoot! The Batch family or the Batch Pack as they go by are the perfect little family of groms! They live the carefree, surf and skate all day lifestyle & I just came to capture them doing their thing one evening– which is totally my jam! 

We started the session a little more formally just to have some on the beach of the three of them! These are perfect to hang on the walls and also remember the stages of their sweet baby girl growing up! After that, we moved to the parking lot where I got to see Jackie & Christian skate with baby Jae. Once Jae got tired we decided to get some surf photos of just mom & dad, which I always recommend! SO many parents forget that their love is just as important to capture as the kiddos are! Taking some time to get some updated couples portraits is always worth it!

I can’t wait to be back in San Diego in November and can’t wait for the magic that will happen again! The beach town is truly so life giving and this family just sports it so well.

Downtown Bloomington Engagement Session

Emma + Nick

Emma & Nick are one of my sweet couples getting married this year, around Halloween to be exact! These two absolutely warmed my soul when they flew me all the way from GA to IN for their engagement session. They are having their wedding in GA but wanted to capture their short time living in IN. 

This is something I preach to all my couples! Make your session feel like you– This means the location matters, the vibe matters, everything. matters. I truly felt so honored to capture Emma & Nick’s last few months in the city that was home to them for their engagement. Soooo let me tell you about it :)

I flew into Indianapolis, IN that Wednesday & lucky for me my family lives close! So my sweet Auntie picked me up and I actually got to spend a few days with them! That Thursday I made the drive with my cousin to Bloomington. E + N picked Indiana University as their location because Bloomington was their current home, and the campus is simply beautiful! We spent two hours getting to know each other, sightseeing, and shooting! They even brought their precious pup for a few pictures!

The best part hasn’t even happened yet. Indiana University has a spot on campus called the Rose Well House. This gazebo has a legend that if you kiss under it, you will spend the rest of your lives together. Emma shared a story with me that when Nick and her started to think about moving to Bloomington, they visited for a small trip. On this trip they kissed under the gazebo, the next month they moved to Bloomington, then a few months later Nick proposed. HOW> SWEET. That story simply made me melt, so I knew we had to stop there at our session for a while.  

Traveling sessions truly are so fun & i’ll never get over how honored I feel to have captured this time for my sweet couple! Simply cannot wait for their Halloween wedding this year!

Barcelona Spain Engagement Session

Elena + Marc

This fall I had the honor of capturing Marc & Elena while I was traveling in Spain! I first met them in Girona. The town that is famous for a few Game of Thrones episodes! I was walking, admiring the architecture & gothic vibes all while carrying my camera. I saw Marc & Elena across the street, walking and holding hands. I quickly mustered up the courage to ask them if they would mind me taking a few photos of them.

Lucky for me they said yes! They spent about 20 minutes with me! We got to talk and I learned that they have been together for over a year and are from Barcelona but spending the day visiting Girona. Barcelona was where I was headed back to the day before I had to fly home. I was able to ask them to meet me again in Barcelona the day before we left and got to have another session with them! 

This session was out of a movie! Marc & Elena both dressed so stylish and ran around the streets of Barcelona with me for a while! These two were just naturals! I barely asked them to do anything and ended up with hundreds of photos. I am so thankful to have met them and hope I can visit them again one day when I return to spain. 

Small tip for my fellow photographers: If you are traveling somewhere awesome, set up a creative shoot! I truly couldn’t be more happy I asked this couple to shoot with me! Put yourself out there & remember the worst that can happen is someone says no! Then, you just ask the next person!
