Last month, I had the pleasure of photographing an incredibly special elopement in downtown Nashville with the sweetest couple, Courtney and Weston. Their story is one of fate and undeniable connection, making their elopement truly unforgettable. I met this lovely couple in a Facebook group, where Courtney shared their plans for a no-kids vacation to Nashville—a trip that would become even more memorable as they exchanged vows and tied the knot during their stay.

Courtney and Weston’s love story began in a bar where Courtney used to work. They hit it off and talked for a few months, but life took them in different directions for a while. When they reconnected a few months ago, they realized they didn’t want to waste any more time. Their love for each other was stronger than ever, and they couldn’t wait to start their forever together. Their story really feels like it's right out of the pages of a Coleen Hoover novel. I was honored that they found me through that same Facebook group and chose me to capture their special day.

Though they’re from Wisconsin, Courtney and Weston decided to elope in Nashville, drawn to the city’s unique blend of charm and character (because truly who doesn't). We started their photoshoot at Cumberland Park, where the river and skyline views provided a stunning backdrop for their intimate moments. Afterward, we moved to The Parthenon, where the timeless architecture added an air of elegance to their day.

What made this elopement stand out, beyond the love Courtney and Weston share, was the way they really made Nashville their own. So often, people think of Broadway when they imagine Nashville, but there’s so much more to this city. Since moving here three months ago, I’ve only shot downtown twice, and this was one of those times that truly showcased the diversity and beauty of the area. Nashville offers so many diverse locations, parks, and historic buildings that can add unique character to any elopement, making it a perfect choice for couples looking to do something different.

Courtney and Weston’s elopement was a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t need to be complicated or extravagant—it just needs to be real. And in the heart of Nashville, they found the perfect place to start their forever.
